Mississippi Symphony Orchestra BRAVO! Series Performance

As always, BRAVO! series ticketholders to this Saturday's Mississippi Symphony Orchestra performance can receive 25% off their pre-performance meal simply by coming to BRAVO! for dinner before the symphony!   Please bring your tickets as proof... good for dinner only BEFORE the performance.  Details of the performance follow:

The Mississippi Sympony Orchestra presents music representing the diverse fabric of American culture including Simple Gift’s from Copland’s Appalachian Spring and Bernstein’s jazz influenced On the Town.  The MSO will be joined by choirs from JSU and Tougaloo College in Ringwald’s God’s Trombones, based upon poetry by African American poet, James Weldon Johnson.  Samuel Barber’s Violin Concerto to be performed by American violinist, Kurt Nikkanen. 

Free Pre-Concert Lecture by MSO Executive Director, Michael Beattie at 6:45pm, Adults $40/$25.  Children (ages 4-18 when accompanied by a paying adult) and college students, upon presentation of a valid I.D. $5.

Sante South Wine Event at Highland Village

BRAVO! is proud to serve as one of the charter members on the committee of the Sante' South Wine Festival.  This year we will co-host the 4th annual Sante South Wine Festival - a most important fundraiser for the Alzheimer's Association -Mississippi Chapter.  This year's event will be held on Saturday, April 19, 2008 from 7:00 P.M. - 10:00 P.M. in the Courtyard at Highland Village.

Sante' South is a "big city" wine tasting with more than 30 vintners of fine wines from across the globe, and the best in local and state-wide restaurant fare, as food and wine is celebrated outdoors in the beautiful Highland Village courtyard!

Ticket Prices: $75 in advance, $85 the night of the event.

As always, BRAVO! is proud to participate in the annual Taste of Mississippi: Homegrown Hunger Relief benefit for Community Stewpot.   This year "Taste" (as it is popularly known) is celebrating it's 20th anniversary and will boast food samplings from more than 35 area restaurants; a live auction featuring artwork by Mississippi artists and a hand-knotted traditional Serapi rug from The Rug Place of Jackson; a silent auction featuring Viking Range products, local art, dinners and merchandise; and live music by Pryor and the Tombstones.

Taste of Missisippi is hosted by Highland Village and is scheduled for Monday, March 31, from 7 to 10 p.m.   Tickets are $50 in advance; $60 at the door. Advance tickets may be purchased at Be-Bop Record Shops, the Everyday Gourmet, Fresh Ink and by calling Stewpot at 601-353-2759.

All proceeds from the event will benefit Stewpot Community Services, whose mission is to provide for the needs of the poor, elderly and disabled in Jackson’s metro area.  Please join BRAVO!, Broad Street, Sal & Mookie's and 32 other area restaurants as we support this important ministry!
