Mississippi Symphony Orchestra BRAVO! Series Performance
As always, BRAVO! series ticketholders to this Saturday's Mississippi Symphony Orchestra performance can receive 25% off their pre-performance meal simply by coming to BRAVO! for dinner before the symphony! The Mississippi Sympony Orchestra presents music representing the diverse fabric of American culture including Simple Gift’s from Copland’s Appalachian Spring and Bernstein’s jazz influenced On the Town. The MSO will be joined by choirs from JSU and Tougaloo College in Ringwald’s God’s Trombones, based upon poetry by African American poet, James Weldon Johnson. Samuel Barber’s Violin Concerto to be performed by American violinist, Kurt Nikkanen.
Free Pre-Concert Lecture by MSO Executive Director, Michael Beattie at 6:45pm, Adults $40/$25. Children (ages 4-18 when accompanied by a paying adult) and college students, upon presentation of a valid I.D. $5.
