The Layout
Sal & Mookie’s will be a full service restaurant with a number of different dining areas. The décor of the restaurant will be that of a 1930’s Little Italy restaurant. Warm colors, wood trim elements, real brick floors, unique black and white photos of 1930’s New York, and antique furniture pieces used as service stations and work tables will provide a well-integrated, thematic backdrop to the menu. Red and white checkered table clothes with real china, glassware and cloth napkins round out the authenticity.
Different dining areas: seating choices will include traditional tables, booths and a long banquette – perfect for large groups. In addition to the inside dining rooms, we are building one of the largest outdoor decks in the city: an “Italian Porch” complete with overhead fans, growing vines and looping Italian lights for an authentic, and romantic setting. Deck dining is very, very popular in the Fondren area, and we wish to provide the best outdoor seating experience in the city. Fans for hot weather and heaters for cold will extend the hours and days the deck will be popular with our guests.

Thank you, thank you, thank you!!!! Finally a great resturant that I can pick my own really good toppings. Your selection is incredible! Reminds me of one of my fav restaurants (no longer open) in Cali that I use to go to and make my own. And now, finally, we have one here. I hope people see the quality of what you offer and may you stay in business forever. Again, THANKS!!!! Sam
